Event Filming
We have two tried and tested methods of filming your school events.
Three sets of pupils are lent hand held camcorders, and after a short tuition do the filming for you. The footage is then edited and burnt to a DVD for parents and pupils to purchase. Be warned sometimes the footage can be a little 'wobbly' but it's great fun for all of the pupils involved and is a fantastic way of introducing Film. We recommend this for in-house talent shows, music events and anything pupil orientated.
Cost: Nothing but we do receive 100% of the DVD sales, these DVDs are marked at £6-£8.00 each depending on the length of the production.
Using professional HD Camcorders, a cameraperson will visit your school to film your event. We recommend this for end of year school plays and prize giving. The footage is then professionally edited and burnt to a DVD to purchase.
Cost: Nothing but we do receive 100% of the DVD sales, these DVDs are marked at £10-£15.00 each depending on the length of the production.
One question we are always asked is: 'My normal video production company only films free if we guarantee a certain amount of DVD sales is this the same with Gowland Film Studios?' The short answer is 'No', but we will ask you to market the DVDs on your weekly bulletins, weblogs, and any other medium that provides parents information about your school.
